Is Chiropractic Right for You? A Guide for Kyneton Patients
Many patients travel from Kyneton and the Macedon Ranges, an area along the Calder Freeway corridor, to see us at KAW Chiropractic in Alfredton, Ballarat. If you've never seen a chiropractor before, you may be wondering whether it's the right choice for you. This page explains what chiropractors do, what we assess, and when we'd suggest a different path.
What chiropractors do
Chiropractors are registered health practitioners who focus on the assessment and conservative management of musculoskeletal complaints, particularly those involving the spine and joints. Care may include manual therapy, including spinal adjustment or mobilisation, along with advice on activity and exercise, depending on what's appropriate for you.
What we assess and treat
People come to KAW Chiropractic with a range of concerns, including lower back, mid-back and neck complaints, as well as some joint complaints. We assess and treat these after taking a full history and doing an assessment. Then we explain whether chiropractic care may help in your case.
When we'll suggest something else
Chiropractic isn't right for everyone or every condition. If your history or assessment suggests you need further investigation, medical care or input from another health professional, we'll tell you and suggest next steps. Your safety and informed choice come first.
