Chiropractic in Ballarat for Castlemaine Patients

Many patients travel from Castlemaine and the Mount Alexander area to see us at KAW Chiropractic. A lot of them tell us they like to understand exactly what's going on and why before agreeing to anything, so this page explains our approach to your care.

We explain before we treat

Your first visit starts with a conversation, not a treatment. Your chiropractor will ask about your complaint, your health history, your work and your daily activities. Then comes an assessment, which may include movement, posture, orthopaedic and neurological checks relevant to your concern.

Next, we explain what we've found in plain language. We'll talk about:

  • what may be contributing to your complaint
  • whether chiropractic care may help, and what it would involve
  • other options, including referral to another health professional if that suits you better
  • any risks of care, so you can make an informed decision

You're welcome to take time to think it over. We only begin care once you've given your consent.

Reviewing as we go

If you go ahead with care, we'll check in regularly on how you're going and adjust the plan where needed. We'd rather keep visits sensible and practical than book you in for more than you need, especially when you're travelling from Castlemaine.
